School Spirit - THE Tiffany
School Spirit
In all 4 years of my highschool career, up until now, never have I exerted school spirit.

Well, I (along with my BUDS) decided that this year, since we're seniors, it was time. We took to decorating shirts that read "Doug is Like Heaven, Class of '07" with our names on the back. Mine featured my nick-name "Typhoon."

We also went crazy at the pep rally which is really odd since our WHOLE class got into it. Not once has my class gotten into a pep rally.

People who know me in real life may also notice something else weird about me. What could this be? Why, it's the fact that my hair isn't down. WOAH!

okay, two question:

1. why is your nickname typhoon?
2. why do you look so surprised?
3. who's doug?

1) Because Typhoon and Tiffany are similar, I suppose.
2) Because I rarely exert school spirit.
3) Our attractive (ugly) building trades teacher.

Has Jon ever told you about our class's ('03) complete lack of school spirit throughout our entire education? We were one of the first eighth grade classes to lose the spirit stick (and it was rigged for the 8th graders to win every year). Every year, during spirit week, ours were the crappiest-decorated hallways, the worst posters and the worst scores on just about everything. Mister Peterson, our class sponser (I think that's the word) who had started at Linn the same year we got into high school, had this look of abject despair whenever any type of class-competition rolled around, because it was known that we would put forth almost no effort whatsoever. But when the spirit week of our senior year rolled around, because we all loved Mr P and it WAS our Senior year, after all, we decided to go all out. We made a killing in all the little competions, whether it was making posters or collecting whatever-it-was-we-had-to-collect, and really tried to do our best. Because the theme was "Party" that year, we turned our hallway into a disco night club, complete with lights, mirror balls, and nonstop music coming from the stereo in Nick Schmitz's locker. It was hell-ass kickballs.
But, of course, by then, nearly every member of the staff and faculty hated our class with an almighty passion, and the douchey juniors won.
Go fig.

I actually remember your class quite well. Our class is very similar and has been dubbed "The new class of '03"

We didn't win ANYTHING this year (except maybe the poster contest) and we also lost the rigged 8th grade spirit stick.

Good stuff. :p
